Mission Control getting stuck in an infinite "THE DRILLDOZER IS FUELED AND READY TO GO" voice loop. Not a huge problem on its own, maybe, but combined with the above point of not being able to mount the dozer, it's a huge pain.īugs will often clip through the dozer and damage it from below or from the inside, while conveniently being shielded from your shots by the dozer's own body.ĭwarves can sometimes get stuck inside the dozer with no reliable means of escape. The dozer frankly does not do a great job of traveling with the terrain, so more often than not, it's traveling at a near 90 degree angle straight up or down, or sometimes it just ignore the terrain altogether and literally flies through the air. And even once you do get on, it's possible to get randomly thrown off. Sometimes the dozer is traveling at such a steep angle that the dwarves literally cannot jump high enough to mount it, so you can't repair it. Riding the dozer and getting on top of it is unpredictable at best. There was literally nothing you could do. They've always felt pretty janky but I just wrapped up a mission in the Radioactive Exclusion Zone where the dozer was taking constant continuous unstoppable damage, even with no bugs around. The biggest and most glaring issue is the overall bugginess. To be frank, I think these missions in their current form make the game worse given the choice between keeping these missions in their current form or removing them outright, I'd rather remove them. It's no secret that Drilldozer missions are generally considered the least favorite mission types on this subreddit, and I think there really are some critical issues that need to be addressed.
